Friends of Camp Silverado (FOCS) are partnered with the USFS Amador District Office of the Eldorado National Forest on a project aimed towards making Camp Silverado a Developed Recreational Site under a Non-Funded Cost Share Agreement.  The USFS has relied on FOCS to target seasonal maintenance and repair to the Camp's existing buildings and infrastructure while staying ahead of hazard tree removal and reduction of forest floor fuels since 2012.
