VISION

Anchored in an unwavering dedication to preserving and enhancing the Camp Silverado legacy, our vision embraces a future where this untarnished high Sierra haven takes center stage as a hub for experiential outdoor education. Our goal is to safeguard the pristine natural surroundings and rekindle a presence at Silver Lake that fosters outdoor learning and exploration.

MISSION

Our mission of the Friends of Camp Silverado is resolute in its dedication to preserving, reconstructing, and revitalizing the infrastructure of the Camp Silverado facility. With a legacy spanning over six decades of committed engagement by the Boy Scouts of America (BSA), our objective is to uphold the nature of this iconic high Sierra destination as an center for wilderness education. By maintaining these facilities and fostering collaborative group member partnerships with like-minded groups that share our vision, while upholding the legacy of the BSA through an environmental stewardship within the encompassing forest, FOCS remains resolutely committed to providing forthcoming generations from all walks of life with an exceptional high Sierra platform for experiential learning and personal growth.

PATH

Guiding the USFS toward making sure Camp remains accessible for the future use of Camp as a place for "scout craft" and outdoor education. Promoting and sharing in a wilderness experience which is unique to this special place on earth.

Now a District.  No refunds will be provided to individuals, families, or businesses.
