Get vaccinated please, stay home if you are sick.

We will be well separated camping and working.
In situations where we cannot, we will mask up. 

Members, you can add to or remove your reservations "at-will", register your guests, and change your Arrival and Departure days making it easier for us to see at a glance when people are coming into Camp this summer.   You say you are coming into Camp, and something comes up ... no problem just revisits the calendar and edit your registration. Please try to do it 3 days before your intended arrival.

Camping this year.  Know that the water system is still untested and to be considered non-potable. Bring drinking water or plan on boiling your water first. 

RVs ? 

Let me see if I can put this kindly and no one takes offence. If you do not remember the road into Camp, you should visit first without your RV.  The USFS and the Cabin Owners would prefer that no RVs come up the road. We all know that RVs come in all kinds of sizes and configurations and RV drivers have varied skill levels. We will not tell you that you can't, but you cannot blame us when you get your rig stuck or damaged. We advise you travel on Kit Carson Road in and out of Camp early in the day to avoid any oncoming traffic. Kit Carson Road has minimal turnouts and backing up is not fun.  You do not want to be known as the one that clogged up the road with a stuck rig as this will give the Cabin Owners more of an argument against Camp being developed and opened again.

There are NO hookups in Camp. No electricity or water hoses are to be connected to your rig. There is no sewer dump station in Camp (closest is Plasses). 

Anyone can Visit.

Day visits are encouraged even if you have not paid your dues. Please remember that we are still fighting Covid. Keep space from others, wear masks if in close proximity, bring your own hand sanitizer (use it).  Be Scout courteous and kind. 

Bringing Friends into Camp

FOCS Members CAN introduce their Camp to others. As a member you will be their host and be responsible for their orientation towards Camp life. Best BSA camping practices and Leave No Trace ethics should be employed. Particularly important if your guests have never camped before. Try and keep your guest list under 5 other adult heads of families (we will not count their accompanied family that they are camping with). Hosted heads of family (friends, visitors, volunteers, or guests) should have in their hands (or on their phone) this card from you the FOCS Host Member.  Family members do not need this card ... only one person in their party should carry this around in case they encounter USFS or Cabin Owner inquiries.

      These can be printed (no limit) by visiting your Profile page and then handed to your guests, work crews, or friends. These are for folks that do not qualify or have not yet joined as paid FOCS Members on their own.  Having this in-hand with their name on it shows us that you are sponsoring their visit into Camp. This grants to them an extension of your camping privileges and hopefully they are inspired to join as Alumni FOCS Members as soon as they qualify.
