Historically Friends of Camp Silverado (FOCS) were partnered with the USFS Amador District Office of the Eldorado National Forest on a project aimed towards making Camp Silverado a Developed Recreational Site under a Non-Funded Cost Share Agreement.  The USFS has relied on FOCS to target seasonal maintenance and repair to the Camp's existing buildings and infrastructure while staying ahead of hazard tree removal and reduction of forest floor fuels 2012 - 2022.

Currently we are fighting for our place in the forest. The new admin change at the Amador District Office has locked us out and out and are currently processing their plans to put the Camp on the Concessionaires Market.  We as a non-profit can and intend to participate in this open bid process. With your continued financial support we will be able to compete with the multimillion dollar  businesses that manage the majority of the USFS's properties.

You're Invited to Join Our Board of Directors!
